A place for shared perspective and cooperation
Protecting coastal environments requires more than isolated effort. It depends on people and organizations being able to see what’s happening beyond their own corner, learn from one another, and recognize where their concerns overlap.
The Exchange exists to help make that possible.
It’s a space for bringing together observations, experience, and knowledge related to surf, beach, and trail environments while helping those perspectives inform one another over time.
What the Exchange Is
The Exchange is a place to:
- share what you’re noticing along the coast
- add context that might otherwise be missed
- surface patterns that deserve attention
- help people and organizations understand where they are working on similar issues
It is meant to support learning and cooperation, not debate or performance.
How People Contribute
Observations
Noticing changes to access, use, development, or environmental conditions, both positive and concerning.
Context and Knowledge
Sharing background, lived experience, or relevant information that helps explain why something matters.
Connections
Pointing to organizations, efforts, or groups already working in a place or on an issue, so work isn’t duplicated in isolation.
Not every contribution is public. What matters most is helping build a clearer shared picture.
